Khalid Alrubaian

CAIA, CMA, CIA - Chairman

Mr. Khalid Alrubaian is an executive with 15 years of experience. He started his career in banking in Samba then SABB as a Relationship Manager. Then he moved to lead the investment division as an Investment Director at ARASCO. As a senior financial advisor, he joined the executive office of H.E. Ahmed Alkhateeb, where he led and advised on several investment and financial initiatives. Khalid also worked as the CEO of Banoon Investments, a family holding company, where he led its investments in different assets classes including public equities and alternative investments. Currently, he is an assistant deputy minister at the Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services. Khalid served on several board positions including chairman of the board at FAB Capital, and board member at ARASCO, Bahri Dry Bulk, Algerian Saudi Investment Company, and Manafeth. Khalid holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals and an MBA from Suffolk University in Boston. In addition, he is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Latifa Al-hudaib

BOD Member

Mrs. Latifah Al-hudaib is a financial and investment services professional for more than 15 years. She held several positions in Banque Saudi Fransi, ANB Capital, and Riyadh Airports Company. She participated in establishing departments of internal audit, governance, and risk management where she worked on putting policies and procedures for those departments. Latifah also helped several financial services companies and asset managers establishing their policies and procedures and obtaining CMA licensing. Latifah holds a bachelor’s degree in science from King Saud University, an MBA from Dublin City University, and a master’s degree in sport management and sport law from ISD.

Tareq Almunajem

Mr. Tareq Almunajem is an investment professional with over 20 years of experience. He started investing during his college days after being fascinated by the modern portfolio theory. He started his career working for Citibank in Singapore, where he managed MENA relationships in Asia Pacific. He then joined Almunajem Group to manage the international investments activities, where he transformed the investment program into a quality portfolio following and adhering to institutional practices. He managed investments in multiple assets classes, including fixed income, public equities, derivatives, hedge funds, private equity, infrastructure, and direct and indirect real estate holdings. Tareq served in several boards including board member at Alarjan Projects, FAB Capital, and as an independent member in the international investment committee at Alrajhi Capital. Tareq holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting from the American University of Sharjah and an MBA from London Business School focusing on strategy and finance.

Elisa Cabildo

Analyst - Deputy of Asset Management

Mrs. Elisa Cabildo is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience in accounting and 13 years in accounting for investments. She has spent the last decade specializing in accounting for investments in multiple asset classes, including equities, derivatives, hedge funds, private equity and direct and indirect real estate holdings for the Almunajem Group. She developed managerial data to enhance corporate governance among directors, shareholders and investment committees. Elisa brings a curiosity-driven mindset to this role as well as an ambition to go deeper in order to deliver accurate and pertinent reporting. Elisa holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Polytechnic University of the Philippines and is a Certified Public Accountant CPA in the Philippines, and an active Associate member of SOCPA in Saudi Arabia.

Marie Clare Attolba

CFO

Mrs. Marie Claire Attolba is a Certified Public Accountant with over 17 years of experience in accounting. She started help several accounting related positions in the Philippines before joining Almunajem Group. Marie Clare joined the investment team in 2019 and has been working on investment management, accounting, reporting and administration since then. Her responsibilities include managing investment portfolio, recording investment activities, taking part in audits, monitoring and reporting on investments, working with administrators, and collaborating with portfolio managers. Marie Clare holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from St. Paul University Manila and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the Philippines and an active Associate member of SOCPA in Saudi Arabia.

Vincent Gombault

Mr Vincent Gombault is an investment and private equity professional for more than 30 years. He started his private equity career with AXA Private Equity in 1998 where he reached the position of a Managing Partner. Vincent and the rest of the management team did a management buyout of AXA Private Equity and converted it to Ardian, managing over USD 60 billion. For 8 years, Vincent was the managing partner and head of primary PE, secondary PE, and private credit. He then moved to London and recently started his new private equity fund of funds Clipway, which collected seeding investments from multiple institutional clients around the world. Vincent holds a bachelor’s degree in law from Paris X and a master’s degree in finance from École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales, or ESSEC Business School in Paris. He is also a lecturer of private equity in both universities. Vincent received several French presidential awards, including Chevalier du Merite Agricole, Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Merite, and Chevalier de la Legion D’Honneur, the highest presidential recognition in France.

Dr Narayan Naik

Professor Narayan Naik is recognized as one of the leading experts on hedge fund investing. Over the last decade he has authored a significant body of work in hedge funds benchmarking, performance evaluation of long-only managers, tail-risk hedging, life settlements-longevity risk and market microstructure. His work has appeared in the top finance journals, leading practitioner journals and financial press. Professor Narayan’s teaching includes the following subjects: Strategic Investment Management, Equity Investment Management and Hedge Funds. Since joining London Business School (LBS) in 1991, Professor Narayan has played a key role in the development of the finance group at LBS, most notably in the role of Director of the PhD Programme in Finance, Director of the School’s Investment Management Programme, Director of the Hedge Fund Research Centre and more recently, one of the Academic Directors of the AQR Asset Management Institute at LBS. Professor Narayan has designed, and taught tailor-made courses in corporate finance, investment management, Islamic Finance and hedge funds for investment banks and financial institutions. His most recent innovation has been the creation of FinTech and the Financial Services Industry Transformation elective. This course examines innovative technology-driven transformation of old business models in the financial services sector. Professor Narayan’s research interests also lie within this field, exploring how Financial Technology is breaking the financial services value chain through more efficient provisioning of Payments, Deposits and Lending, Capital Raising, Wealth Management, Insurance, Market Data Analytics, as well as the impact on businesses by the BlockChain and Cryptocurrency technology. Professor Narayan has appeared many times on CNN, CNBC, Bloomberg, the BBC, ITV and other news channels as an expert finance academic. He has consulted widely during his career for the World Bank, sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East, and private corporations in the UK, USA, Middle East and Far East.

Dr Oliver Gottschalg

Professor Oliver Gottschalg is part of the Strategy Department at HEC School of Management, Paris. He currently service as co-Chair of his department and holds the Antin Chair for Private Equity at HEC Paris. He teaches courses in private equity, management buyouts, business strategy and entrepreneurship. His current research focuses on the strategic logic and the performance determinants of private equity investments. Dr Oliver served as a co-dean of TRIUM Global Executive MBA program for 10 years. Dr. Oliver’s work has been published in leading academic journals and in various publications for practitioners and was featured over 100 times in the business media in the past 2 years. He is also a regular speaker in private equity conferences. His book on ‘Private Equity Mathematics’ is one of the bestselling books with Private Equity International (PEI Media). He serves as an advisor to leading investors in the private equity industry, and repeatedly served as an advisor to policy makers at the national and European level in the context of the ongoing debate about a possible need for regulation of the Private Equity industry. Dr. Oliver holds a Wirtschaftsingenieur Diploma from the University of Karlsruhe, an MBA from Georgia State University and a M.Sc. and PhD degree from INSEAD.

Laurent Hopman

Mr. Laurent Hopman is an investment professional with more than 27 years of experience. He started his career in Milan as an M&A analyst with Calyon. He then joined Morgan Stanley trading equity derivatives, and then became a fixed income derivatives trader both at UBS and Poseidon, a fixed income relative value hedge fund. Later he joined a London-based single family office overseeing listed and hedge fund investments. He then joined Investcorp as part of the investment committee co-responsible for tactical asset allocation, overseeing USD 8 billion in hedge funds. Laurent then established 21North Advisors, becoming an independent investment advisor based in Bahrain, providing institutional quality advisory to investors. Laurent holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris and an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania with dual major in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management.
